Surfrider Foundation One Ocean @ The Exploratorium
It was an honor to work with the Surfrider Foundation for their One Ocean @ The Exploratorium event this October. As an advocate for responsible sourcing, regenerative farming, food waste reduction and zero waste events there is no greater an organization that has a thought leadership position on these topics than Surfrider.
One Ocean raised money for the organization’s initiatives including beach clean ups that this past year removed 365,000 pounds of waste from US beaches. Additionally their Climate Action Plan linked here clearly outlines the work they are doing on plastic reduction, ocean protection, beach access, coasts and climate and clean water. We were able to speak to the work that we do with Zero Foodprint playing an active role in helping our supply chain of farmers adapt regenerative and climate smart practices that produce high quality food while doing right by the environment.
Our bar team got to work with some incredible products including the Surfrider x Best Day Non-Alcoholic White-Belgian beer, which is probably the tastiest NA beer we've tried. Pantalones Tequila was our featured spirit, an awesome company launched by Matthew & Camila McConaugheythat is a continual supporter of Surfrider Foundation and a 1% For The Planet supporter. Seaglass provided some delicious central coast wines. We offered up a low impact menu featuring organic, seasonal cuisine. Brett Dennen laid down some soulful tracks with the Bay falling to sunset in the background.
October in the Bay is unrivaled, The Exploratorium providing the perfect setting to inspire guests to rally around this incredible organization that is leading the way to make our oceans thrive.
It was great to partner with the talented Imprinted Group for the first time, their thoughtfulness and event management was top notch.
